I recently moved to Port Elizabeth.
The area where I stay has no ADSL infrastructure.
Telkom offered me their Fixed Line Look-Alike solution which comprises a 3G modem/router connected
to a handset. This provides an adequate albeit more expensive alternative to ADSL.
However, I have recently discovered that data usage appears to be MUCH heavier using Telkom's FLLA than other
3G based Internet usage (e.g. my daughter's Vodacom dongle)
A 15 minute surfing session on FLLA (email, News24 and some Facebook) uses between 300 and 500 Mb of data!
A similar session on Vodacom 3G uses about 60Mb!
Can anyone throw some light on this issue please?
