Best ADSL and VDSL ISP network revealed

Speed means nothing if your vehicle is unreliable.

We also know that ISPs prioritise Speedtest.

These results should be taken with a pinch of salt...

No way to accurately measure that though, different ISPs = different markets = different congestion rates? I don't know, I've never found speedtest to be a good way of measuring an ISP.

Seems like you guys are missing the point.

As a benchmark for real world experience it's terrible.

As a benchmark for comparing different ISPs it's fantastic.
 
Most folks I know only do a speed test if they have problems. And they do it a good few times. Ergo that ISP suffers yet it is mostly a DSL fault.
 
Speedtest indicates the upward limit of what the ISP can offer at that time.

To that extent it has certainly been helpful for me in the past.

It doesn't indicate your average or lower limit of your experience

Bingo. There's also been a helluva lot of testing of IS accounts recently.

It does in my case. Other than posting the occasional speedtest result for a MyBB competition, all my other speedtest are done when I perceive a fault with my service. And the latter far outnumbers the former.

Yes I agree, but I also do a speed test when I think my internet is performing well to check I am not imagining things. I use telkom (hate the company) and over the last few months my speeds have been incredible for a 4mb uncapped line. Torrents download anytime during the day from 380Kb/s - 410Kb/s. A year ago I was lucky to get 30Kb/s during the day.

Definitely not where we want to be!

The Team is taking not of all of these results, as well as those provided by our Users, and we're working hard to make sure the throughput and latencies improve dramatically!

Our network may not quite be tip top at the moment, but we'll definitely bounce back!
