Throttled on weekends especially in the early hours

i have a soft cap fastest bundle account with a 40Gb limit. I never reach that limit, yet my speed is throttled down dramatically, especially on weekends and in the early hours of the morning, when the traffic should be low.
Why is this happening and has anyone else had this experience?

Telkom does not approve of the way you have used that 40%.
 
As can be seen, my use is very limited. I don't use any Peer to Peer facilities like downloading movies.
I watch a few YouTube videos, but other than that, my main use is e mails and a few Whatsapp messages.
What does Telkom expect one to use their services for.
Still can't understand why it is throttled in the early hours of the morning and especially on weekends when the traffic is at its lowest. Surely they would throttle me during peak times?
Anyway, I feel very restricted using Telkom broadband and their limited usage allowance.

I seriously doubt that you are being throttled or shaped by TelkomInternet (the ISP).

Sounds more like a congestion issue that is linked to Telkom Wholesale.
 
MickeyD, why would there be congestion during the early hours of between 12am and about 7am. Surely that time would have the least amount of congestion, and especially on weekends.

Not if everyone in your neighborhood was taking advantage of their nightcaps(Crystalweb/webafrica/new mweb) or Telkom nightsurfer.

Use a ping test overnight.
