Movie prices in SA: Ster-Kinekor vs Nu Metro

Showbox apk, sit back, relax. :D Why should I worry if the leaders of my country steals more in a second than I could pirate in a month. The term lead by example comes to mind, I am just following the example set out for me. :p
 
This is madness.

Last movie I saw in a cinema was Independence Day. Think it was like R12.50.
My wife takes my son and his buddies quite often for the 3D animated stuff. No wonder she bitches if there is like 4 or 5 of them...:D
 
Again they fail to mention Liberty rewards which now offers a choice of any Nu Metro or Ster-Kinekor ticket free every week.

These prices are cheap. Costs £10 in the UK. And another £8 for popcorn and coke. But I dont mind since I only go for the occasional blockbuster which I think watching a movie for the first time in a theater would be worth it. My next visit to the movies will probably for the the new Star Wars movie. I think that will be worth the +/- £20.
 
Went to watch The Martian last night (very good movie) popcorn was something like 23-26 rand for middle size. Just crazy.

I just got the Meerkat Movies deal from some £3 insurance I bought- 2for1 on Tue/Wed. Haven't got round to using it yet, but may do some action movie soon. £5 isn't too bad :)

What you failed to mention is the following:

If you work in the UK and earn 1000 pounds a month, you can watch 50 movies with pocorn and coke. If you work in SA and earn R1000 per month, you can watch only 10 movies with a popcorn and coke.

Need to compare apples with apples if you want to go this route. Movies in SA is s**t more expensive than it is in the UK.

He was comparing apples with apples. Price of SA ticket is R80. Price of his ticket is £10 (R200)
So by his reasoning, our prices are in fact cheap.

If you compare someone earning 1000 pounds to someone earning 1000 Rand, you are not even close to comparing apples with peanuts, never mind apples.


By your logic someone earning 1000 Yen could only watch 1 movie... now while that may be true, what does that have to do with someone earning £1000 in the UK?
