Ubuntu tablet PC – launch window and specs

Please don't be k*k, please don't be k*k, oh please oh please oh please!

This would be very interesting indeed.

I see the phones are about R2k directly converted so wonder what the tablet will cost.

The tablet is expected to cost around €250. That's based on the price of the Android version of the tablet.

Resolution? App support?

Ok so my 10.1" R1800 Mecer can do all I want. Use Facebook, as a Gps device, Good anti glare screen on it, run all my other apps that I use, play SimCity. Why do I need this R5700 overpriced tablet from Ubuntu? When it comes to price, Android and Windows will win all the way for the same type of hardware at half the price. That and the Chinese manufacturers will most probably have a Snapdragon version at half the price by then.

Thanks for this. Was looking for a good tablet but Asus is very expensive. May just look at this as a good compromise between price and features.

Where do you get R5700 from?

Also many people want nothing to do with Windows.

And this tablet does way more than Android with its "continuum" like features.

"The M10 Ubuntu tablet will go on sale globally in March. Price is to be announced but expect to pay somewhere around the ~€250 mark."
