The Greatest Windows of all Time

Meh. I find Windows 8 way more stable.

XP really hit the nail on the head when it comes to compromise between simplicity and usability IMO. Almost nothing in that OS was too simple for an advanced user, or too complex for a beginner user.

Windows 10, OSX, and Ubuntu all are either too simple, too complex or rapidly jump between the two.

They said it would be faster and more reliable, and it was so.

If you want stability and something that is rock solid, then Windows 2000 Professional it was for me.
I still have an old box with IDE Drives in the cupboard running Win2kP

However, the big balls up was made with the way OS2 Warp was allowed drift out of the public's consciousness.

Windows 10, has got potential, however, it looks like 3rd party device drivers are not mature yet.
Case in point, Logitech Anywhere MX mouse is not as smooth on 10 as it is on Win7 etc

Windows 2000 was version 5.0, XP was 5.1.

It was basically Windows 2000 with better USB support and DirectX (it could play many Win9X games that Windows 2000 couldn't).

Still got a dozen seats running here.

yea, it was :(

Tell me about it. I want 8.1 back.

This is a hudge problem with Windows 10, one of the reason it should never show up in the stores shelves. If you have ever meassured Windows 10 kernel mode latency, you will understand why.

In all my Windows 10 installation kernel latency is in a disaster zone. It can affect mouse, but most frequently audio reproduction. Jitter!!!

It's not designed to run on a casio calculator watch
