Hey everyone!

My Unotelly subscription is coming to an end at the end of the week. I'm not sure if I should renew it or look for a new one?
If you have found a new one, please let me know! I need one for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. I haven't had any issues with Unotelly YET!

Any thoughts?

Kevin

Thanks Alacrity! I'll renew it.

And thanks for the filmefy alternative!

Ok, looks like I might not renew! I'm starting to have issues with Unotelly! Everything stopped working and I had to restart my router as I could not even access there website! I'm now getting proxy detected message on one of the programs on Netflix and I don't know how long it will be till all the programs are like that!

Sorry Unotelly, looks like you just lost another customer!

Stopped working when?

As of last night mine was still working perfectly.

At the time that I posted the previous post.
So like 30 min ago.

Its not just you sadly. It started 3 days after I started netflix on Unotelly, and moved to someone else. Then I started getting problems and found another DNS service. A day or 2 after that and same thing. 3rd provider did the same in a few hours so have given up

That sucks!
I do have a backup though! I have Exodus on Kodi. So if Netflix stops working, then Ill download the programs that are on Netflix on Exodus. Hulu and Amazon are still working for now.

What device are you guys using ?

Did you block Google DNS service specifically 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 via your router ?

If you using LTE services did you update your IP via the unotelly quickstart page ? (Telkom LTE assigns me a new IP every time the power trips)

My DNS is set up on my PC and my Amazon Fire TV. Not my router. So not sure if blocking the google DNS will work.

I'm using ADSL.

No, that's not the error I get. Netflix loads, but on that one program it says that we are using a proxy and that we must turn it off.

Ok, so now i do need a alternative for Unotelly! Been having MEGA issues with them! Every like 30 minutes, Unotelly completely stops working! I can't access there website or do anything with them! I have to restart the modem to get it working again! My subscription ends on Wednesday, so I need to find a alternative that works with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.

Does the Google DNS block really work?

Keep Unotelly, ditch Netflix.

It used to.

bwana,

I'm not going to keep Unotelly as I have been having MEGA issues with them! Every like 30 minutes, Unotelly completely stops working! I can't access there website or do anything with them! I have to restart the modem to get it working again! This effects Netflix and Hulu! So I wont pay for a service that works and then doesn't and then works and so on! Plus the rest of my family use Netflix, so I wont just get rid of it. Only if it completely stops working will I get rid of Netflix.

I had that unotelly glitch once - have you contacted them? IIRC it was a fairly easy fix. FWIW my hulu, amazon, and a dozen other services still perform flawlessly.

TBH it looks like Netflix has done a complete 180° about face on their live and let live stance of last year and is going flat out to deny access to other location's catalogues.

I have contacted Unotelly but I haven't gotten a reply yet. Its been 24 hours and nothing! They don't answer on Facebook, Mybroadband and they have disappeared on Twitter. It does not seem they are coming back!
Ill switch to someone else, and if Unotelly ever comes back, then Ill go back to them.
