The iPad is not connected to the internet. Is there a way I can copy a PDF document from the iPad to a PC?

It's not as simple as connecting with a cable?

Syncing with Drop Box or similar will probably be the easiest.

Or email the file to yourself on the iPad and check that mail on your pc.

Failing that get rid of the iPad and get an Android tablet ;)

Go to MacDonalds or Mugg and Bean or a neighbour's house, have a cup of coffee - log on to free wifi, transfer document.

What app is the PDF in? If iBooks or Adobe Reader, it may be possible to sync it to PC with iTunes.

This is why IOS devices are such a pain - why make it so difficult to perform a simple task such as file copying?

For real? Surely newer i-devices can just plug in and copy files across without 3rd-part software and all this other malarkey?

If you have Adobe pdf reader, use the share button > Open In...> open in Adobe. Plug into iTunes, go to the iPad, Apps tab, scroll to the bottom to "File Sharing" click on Adobe, you'll see all the files you've opened (and saved). Select Document and save to desktop.

If in pretoria connect to tshwane wifi

Also, I personally suggest you save whatever the thing allows you to then swap it for a droid, or a pc, or a box of paper.

Nope, still require itunes.
I install itunes for the drivers and use iFunBox instead.
