India: Datsun redi-GO brochure leaked, gets 5 styling kits

Ahead of its launch, scheduled for June 7, the brochure of the Datsun redi-GO has been leaked on the Internet. According to the leaked images, the redi-GO will come in five variants: D, A, T, T(O) and S.

Datsun will also be providing 5 styling kits with the redi-GO, named Easy Kit – Sporty, Easy Kit – Premium, Kool Kit, Urban Kit and Style Kit.

According to the leaked redi-GO brochure, variant-wise feature distribution will be as follows:

Datsun redi-Go D
• Black coloured steel wheels
• Driver side ORVM
• Standard fabric seat upholstery
• Integrated front headrests
• Fixed rear seats
• Rear door child lock
• MID on instrument console
• Three point seat belts

Datsun redi-Go A
• Silver coloured steel wheels
• Passenger side ORVM
• Premium fabric upholstery
• Air Conditioner
• Body coloured bumpers
• Glovebox with lid
• Chrome accents on grille
• 12 V power socket
• Engine immobilizer
• Digital tachometer
• Foldable rear seat
• Passenger side sun visor

Datsun redi-Go T
• Power steering
• Body-coloured door handles
• Piano black finish on centre console
• Full wheel covers
• Mobile docking station
• Front two Speakers

Datsun redi-Go T(O)
• Front power windows
• Music system with CD, AUX, AM/FM, and USB support

Datsun redi-Go S
• LED DRLs as foglamps
• Driver airbag

Built on the same CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid, the redi-GO will get the same engine as well. The 799 cc, three-cylinder engine will develop 53.2 BHP and 72 Nm of max torque. It will be mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox.

The redi-GO is speculated to be launched at a starting price tag of Rs. 2.39 lakh.

• Integrated front headrests

Is that not integrated in any car ? Can't remember one without it since I'm born...
 
If this was released here it wouldn't start at R53 000, it would probably be R94 000+
 
Leaked on the internet? As if it was a closely guarded secret, nothing revolutionary or ground breaking about those features unless if anyone "finds black coloured steel wheels" very appealing.
 
Why is it so difficult for India to produce a structurally sound vehicle? Are their engineers incapable of such a feat or are they just too lazy?
