Johannesburg - Economic Freedom Fighters student leader Vuyani Pambo on Wednesday said that students should bring the country to a standstill until their demand for free education was met.

On Wednesday, a small group of Witwatersrand University (Wits) students embarked on a silent march in support of those who wanted the academic programme to resume.

“We are going to take over all universities and we will make sure that this country is at a stand still till we get free quality education,” he said.

Pambo said that the next two days were about coming up with ideas that would help win the struggle for free tertiary education.

“Government has been able to manage to frame us as criminals. We must show them that we are thinking people who want to build for the black people who were left behind,”

Free and quality. Those two words can never be used in the same sentence.
 
It's pretty much already at a stand still, we are a hair's breadth away from a recession.

Not only that but: South Africa's population growth is above 1.5% while economic growth is basically zero which means the people are getting poorer by the day. This is the ANC and AA for you. Only businesses which implemented AA the least still do OK (more or less)!

They are so silly.
Up until now people cared about the universities.
This might not last.

I'm at the point of suggesting that we hand them firelighters and let them burn it down.
And then in 10 years from now we will only employ foreigners to do the specialized work.
 
I wonder what will happen when the majority who want to continue studying rise up against the minority who are stifling it. Will the latter suddenly cry oppressed victims?
