How to reduce the irritation of repeats on M-Net

Don't watch the repeat. Many other subscribers rely on repeats in the time slot that suits them. It's what they expect of a broadcaster.
 
Can we stop with this avalanche of M-Net articles about how they failed to change with the times and are now scrambling to keep their prehistoric business model relevant, and pretending to have the customers best interests at heart.

This. We DGAF about DSTV anymore.
 
What's an "m" net? Is it like internet? I don't have any repeats on mine?
 
if they allowed more storage(or better methods) to record when things are aired, they wouldnt need do "repeats"

it seems like they are keeping the storage small.

could be creating a need for repeats, costs them less.
 
What I don't get is that you pay R800 a month but still get adverts. And there is nothing worse than a DSTV advert on DTSV.

Stupid company.

Almost all the channels fed in from abroad have defined slots where the local distributor is expected to slot in their local or regional adverts. When DStv don't have any local advertisers who've bought those slots they still have to run something, so they run their own ads for DStv.
 
Why don't they have a video dropbox on a site where subscribers can upload their vids and an editor can choose the best ones as content to watch. It would be local flavour with new content being generated constantly. Certainly will aid those wanting to get into production. That is just one idea. Surely their marketing people are paid to think outside the box. Pun intended.
 
In the meanwhile, just sit and wait for new content to come up in 6 months or so; hopefully it's the series you like. Otherwise, stick it out with repeats on other channels.
