BlueBean Credit Card NO LONGER FREE since 2017

Was wondering why I was charged R45.

Will cancel it now, thanx for making the thread.

Wow, that's bad (dumb?) from them. The new fee should've applied to new customers only.

Anyways, wasn't a customer and one less thing to consider.

Still free but they hiked interest rates.

1 January 2017

All balances: 21%

After 1 June 2007 (National Credit Act)

All balances: 15.50% - 19.50%

For all I care they could increase interest rate to 50% and I would not even care. I never pay interest on my CCs. I don't spend money I don't have.

Well now it's R45 per month flat rate. Not free if you have a R2k balance anymore like in the past.

What other free Credit Cards are there beside Virgin Money?
That sucks, only reason I had it was for the lifestyle benefits, the roadside assistance/towing thing was very good.

Is that all gone?

It was nice some perks on the side even though I didn't use it.
Now that is ALL GONE.

Time to jump ship fellas, but where to?

Fnb with ebucks is very good, I already have one, this was my spare card so I'll probably get a free Virgin card.

Does the Virgin card have free roadside assistance?

This is bad news...
Where to move now?

I don't see any other free CC besides Virgin Money.

I don't consider jumping through hoops for rewards and points to negate the cost to be "free" nor is it worth the hassle, but if there is no alternative then I guess it's something I might have to consider.

Ebucks needs very little behavior modification, I'd take a look at it at least.
