Firefox 52 to drop support for NPAPI plugins

Oh? Welcome to the game Firefox. Chrome dropped it years ago. Version 42 if I'm not mistaken.

eg: bbc radio - still uses flash on some of it's live stuff even if you set html5 as the default under user preferences.
Indeed. Last time I checked SARS also still needs Flash.

Some BBC News videos also still require flash while others don't.

I reckon all browsers should just dump flash and leave it up to the content providers to convert. Even though I can use flash I refuse to install any flash plugin and just ignore sites that use it & they are in the minority.
