CliffCentral – 3 years old and going strong

Completely forgot about CliffCentral. I suppose it's nice that it's still going. My issue with it was that it wasn't 'professional' enough the few times I gave them a listen. Way too much rambling and nonsense talk.

Got CliffCentral streaming on their website and it's decent thus far. I see they're finally on TuneIn Radio, but the 80kbps quality is not acceptable.

I feel like podcasts could hugely improve the reach of CliffCentral. They have many podcasts available in Pocket Casts (for each show), but it's just a bloated mess. No way I want to listen to so many daily hours of content - it should be condensed to an hour or two of the best bits from all their shows, as podcasts generally are.

They could be massive in SA if they provided a morning show podcast that people can download on their phones and play in the car. Radio really sucks these days.

Edit: Listened to a few minutes of two Gareth Cliff Show podcasts. Holy s**t it's so bad. Cliff really needs to give his show a proper structure and per-show game plan to help him keep things moving and engaging.

This comment nails it for me. This is my biggest gripe with CliffCentral and the reason I stopped listening to them. To describe their podcasts as a "bloated mess" is an understatement. I was really interested to follow the shows on podcasts but it is hard to search through hours of podcast for that one show you wanted to listen. Why they don't break the podcasts up in more manageable chunks is beyond me? I can't be bothered with them, really.

CliffCentral shouldn't even be a live show imo. Should have been podcasts only from the start. There's a big gap in the market for a high quality South African podcast. And they'd have enjoyed tremendous ease of access compared to the difficulty in streaming CliffCentral. Really stupid.
 
I listen daily from 06:00 until I get to work via the App or TuneIn, as well as numerous podcasts. Best of the lot is the Renegade report, Laws of Life and The Burning Platform.
