A Github petition is asking Adobe to open source Flash, because “killing Flash means future generations can’t access the past”.

Good idea, but I would rather let flash be killed.

I'm for this.
Absolutely hate Flash as it is now (and has been for the last ~10 years), but pin that completely on Adobe, who refused to make significant changes to it outside of a few bugfixes, resulting in a bloated program that has not been optimized for modern (multi-core, multi-tab, proper sandboxing) devices
