These are mobile chips, Intel isn't just doing a marketing exercise anymore, they upped their game big time.

You are completely wrong. Intel is unable to produce 8gen desktop chips, as fabs are messed up.

BTW, It is a very good thread dedicated to evaluating video coding/encoding in hardware.
