Is anyone on Telkom's UNLIMITEDhome package having international bandwidth problems? I have the 4 Mbps package and international bandwidth is hovering around ~400 Kbps, but local traffic seems fine. I've called the call centre on 10210 and they confirmed that there is no throttling on my account.

Um, 400 kilobytes per second is expected for a 4 Megabit line. What's the issue?

How are you testing your speed?

I think there is a bit of confusion here. If he is complaining that his download speed is 400kBps (often used on torrent and download apps ) on a 4Mbps line then he shouldn't be

However 400kbps on a 4Mbps line on speedtest , for example would be extremely slow.

We need to ascertain exactly how he is testing his bandwidth before making a judgement
 
Kbsp, i.e. bits not bytes. In the browser when downloading a file it sits at around 5-10 kB/s (kilobytes per second). Thanks for the mention about the other thread. Seems it's not just me. I've spoken to Telkom and they say my line is good (attenuation and SNR), and they confirmed they're not shaping me. They couldn't fix the problem though so they've "escalated" the issue, whatever that means.
