Put 1+2+3 in your iPhone calculator and get the wrong answer

Nope.. only to the unobservant. The real error is that sometimes the ‘+’ does not register resulting in the number ‘23’ being displayed as the ‘2’ and then ‘3’ displayed as consecutive number inputs.. hence ‘23’.

Weird that it doesn’t register the operand input

So still a bug though.
 
The bug is in the UI?

I tried it just now and it looks like the next digit isn't registered until the + button's animation thing is over

Yah UI issue.. suspect speed of input ie the operand buttons have a timeout (as someone said visual effect needs to complete) till it can be used again.

This is why some bugs take forever to fix while others won’t.. ie quality of input.

That is not really an error it's to do with order of operations. 1+2*3 automatically gets seen as (1+2)*3 when simply punching it in because it resolves linearly.

Many non scientific handheld calculators do the same cause it resolves the previous inputs the moment you hit * and will do again and again.

So then why does it not resolve it linearly in scientific mode?

The standard calculators that I've tried in Linux and Andriod give you 1+2*3=7

Because in scientific mode it actually feeds.

1+2*3 into the ram and then resolves which gives it the ability to see the order of operations.

I think the clue is in standard and not scientific calculator.
