I know very little about Android these days but am in need of a Samsung phone that offers DisplayPort Alt Mode through the USB-C port.

I've been trying to research it a bit and it seems like the feature is only really available on high end phones, not the FE and Lite type versions, so I'm looking for some advice on what would be a comparable Samsung S phone to do a straight swap for an iPhone 17?

I know the latest one is the S26 range, but if I'm going to advertise a swap what is the minimum Samsung S phone I should aim for at a similar value? I know you have 3 versions of each, regular, + and Ultra, so what do you think I should be asking for as a minimum?

iPhone is in perfect condition. 256gb storage, 100% battery, screen protector and case since new and with box and cable etc.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Dex is what you want, it is only on the S series, but it goes from the FE to the Ultra, for an iPhone 17, the S25 plus would probably be a fair swap.

Just reading about DeX, sounds pretty good. And thanks for the advice on the phone, might try an ad here as local Facebook marketplace is full of scammers and is generally pretty useless these days.

Yup facebook market can be great, but it also can be painful. Good luck with the swap over, you could try push for the S26 Plus, but that is a push.

Carbonite is a good place to advertise, and you can see if they have a trusted profile.

iPhone 17 go for about R12.5k easy sell
Standard S26 go for around same price
Plus a bit higher but the guys selling these know the price/value will drop fast so they might swop you

I've browsed it now and again but never used Carbonite to sell or buy anything.

But I've got 2 weeks to think about it, my wife commandeered the phone last night for a 2 week glucose monitoring thing.

This is the only electronic marketplace I would use. You can see the buyer/seller history and feedback from others. Done many sales there since about 2016.
