On 31 October, Google mistakenly blocked access to certain users’ files, including Google Docs.
This was due to a bug that incorrectly flagged files as violating Google’s terms of service.
Google said Google Docs and Drive products have automatic, preventive security precautions in place to protect its users from malware, phishing, and spam.
Google is becoming more restrictive by the day. Files you upload one day are no longer supported the next. Same with hosting, can put together much better for less. I guess the world is finally becoming more decentralised again thanks to fibre and traditional hosting will cease to exist. So much for the cloud bandwagon that never really existed.I still remember the day Microsoft shut down a Hotmail account I've been using for years due to my account being compromised through their sh**y Skype app.
All my OneDrive files (tax docs, timesheets etc. etc.) gone. All the mail contacts etc. I had, gone. Tried everything to recover my account but ended up with nothing.
Once our Fibre gets installed in our complex I'm done with using 3rd party cloud storage.
Will be creating my own solution.

And as usual you're making no sense. It's increasingly distant from that bubble you're living in
It was a bug and they fixed it fast. The beauty of the cloud...Google is becoming more restrictive by the day.
Not just a bug but restricting you to what you can upload or not. It's effectively only stuff it can scan now. And stop with this cloud nonsense, as with web 2.0 it's something that mostly never existed and this was a software issue so has nothing to do with it.It was a bug and they fixed it fast. The beauty of the cloud...
And as usual, you're stuck in the "if I don't use it, nobody does" box . You need to get out moreAnd as usual you're making no sense.
Not what I said. Learn to read. And as usual, you're stuck in the "if I don't use it, nobody does" box . You need to get out more
I read what you said, and as per usual you mistake your sentiment and thoughts for common and popular onesNot what I said. Learn to read.
And you're still waffling and making no sense.I read what you said, and as per usual you mistake your sentiment and thoughts for common and popular ones
I'm making no sense TO YOU....which is hardly difficult to do , and definitely not the same thing. And you're still waffling and making no sense.
