Massive fuel price increase expected in December

End of year, Government is artificially weakening the Rand so that they justify a huge hike in fuel price. (all that extra fuel tax coming in)

As per usual every December.

Liar! Fake News!

Cute but wrong, happens only 40% of the time:

New and updated. So since 2005 is has increased less than 50% of the time. Doesn’t sound like usual to me. But yes, one can play around time period and change that %.

It actually decreased last year. You used a Dec to Jan increase instead of Nov to Dec like the rest of your figures
Nov 1257.00 Dec 1237.00

Thanks, seems to be a fault in the energy.gov.za column for inland 95 for Dec 2016, the 93 and the coastal 95 in that time did indeed drop, I have corrected.

****. 95 octane going to be R14,62 up in Gauteng. Based on the rand trend alone, we can expect R16 a litre after the ANC Christmas party next month.

Oil just passed 56$ while ZAR is at R14 again.
What dd you think was going to happen?
What would be really interesting is if the drama in the middle east escalate and we get back to $100 for oil.

Rand should drop if ANC gets its shot together. R13 will give us a bearable increase. Won’t be surprised if it’s R1 up
