ICASA must extend deadline to implement new data rules – Networks

Telkom and Cell C have requested that ICASA extend its deadline to implement new regulations governing out-of-bundle billing and data rollover.

ICASA published its amended End-User and Subscriber Service Charter Regulations on 7 May 2018, and gave service providers 30 days to comply with the new rules.

I dont see anything wrong with giving them 30 days to comply, they had years to screw us over so 30 days to fix it is more than enough.

So if ICASA does not grant the extension, then what? And how long an extension is needed?

Of course they'd want an extension for as long as possible. They could comply to the ICASA regulation overnight if they were forced to do so but they were so used to milking this cash cow that they desperately need the time find another way, and another cash cow to milk.
