Im looking for a VPN or a DNS Proxy that will work well to get Netflix US in SA.
Not sure if there even is a decent one anymore.

Ive tried Smart DNS Proxy but its just to slow.
Takes like 20min to load something and at the lowest quality.

Does anyone have any suggestions, and also how to set it up, will be appreciated.

I don't really know too much about this, just googled how to do everything, but suggestions would be great.
Trying to set it up for the folks. They don't do much other that watch Netflix and I thought it would be nice for them.

Thanks in advance.

Watchout for the Gestapo, they have spies here.

smart dns proxy works perfectly...
He claims otherwise.

@OP are you sure it's set up correctly? What type of connection do your parents have? If you go to fast.com it will give you a realistic indication of the connection speed to Netflix.

Maybe include which ISP you are using. This could also influence your connectivity to the service. Do a test before and after applying the proxy.

Does Netflix have local servers? This could also affect the service you get.

Ok, Well, Its all good now.
I'm using Getflix.
Pretty much the exact set up as Smart DNS Proxy.
It runs instantly, no lag or anything.
My parents are on Mweb, they have a 150g cap on a 10meg ADSL line. (No fiber in the area yet)
I managed to get it to work on a Wii U as well but not on an XBox one.
Doesn't matter anyway, they use a media player.

Thanks for the reply's.

Can it be used as one account on all devices?

Or can an account only be used on one device eg PC?

If you set it up on your router then everything on your network can use it.

It's the same company should that's to be expected. :)

I'm checking right now how to set it up on my router.
Ive got a TP-Link Td-w8968 the setting on there website are outdated.
Anyone know how to configure it with Getflix, the DNS not the VPN.

Anyway know if it is possible to use smartdns using Google WiFi or is it not possible at all?

Look at my previous post. SmartDNS can be setup on the router, so that everything on the subnet passes used their dns servers.

He’s asking if it can be set up on the google Wi-Fi router. Not all routers lend themselves to the service.

I use getflix and been very solid with it's performance.

I intentionally didn't put the DNS settings in the router so that I could choose what content I wanted on which device.

Netflix has some content in the SA catalog that isn't in the USA. Some TV shows for the kids and Star Trek Discovery and designated survivor.

Samsung Smart TV: Netflix with no Getflix for SA catalog
Apple TV: Netflix with Getflix and US catalog
