Guys, can anyone point me in the right direction to have a TelkomInternet Access account cancelled? It is for an ADSL access account that is not associated with a landline, i.e. it was just ordered as a way to access Internet on an existing ADSL line. The service was ordered in 2008...

The username and password cannot be used to login anywhere. Telkom's account department on 10210 cannot find any of the customer account or reference numbers on their system (this after I emailed the lot to the customer service agent). They cannot find me, cannot cancel my service, cannot log me in anywhere and yet they are debiting an account every month!

Anybody know how to achieve this? It is for an old [email protected] DSL access account with no associated Telkom line...

I would also be interested to know. I am moving to fibre soon and also have one of these old accounts.

By "anywhere", do you include:
- To the internet?
- At https://customerportal.telkomsa.net
- At https://secure.telkomsa.net/titracker
- At https://online.telkomsa.net/smt

If you aren't 100% sure, please test each of at least the last 3, as they all work slightly differently. And also try the password reset on the last one (then you should be able to use all of the above except maybe the 2nd as it might not get tested for this case often as it is now more efforr to test this case).

Everyome in supoort (or later, the "call centre") who actually knew anything about the older systems was forced out of the outsourcing company in less than a year after the outsourcing (well, told that their job in Centurion was moving to PE).

They would need to have looked on Customer Center, or if they didn't have access (very likely now), logged a request to the ISP technical team on ITSD (with a request area under ISP.)

Do you receive an invoice (I mean? separate from your Telkom account)?

I'll try and find out from someone who is still there what the process is to cancel, bit it will probably be me PM'ing you the email adress for someone in the ISP technical team.
