Wbs have a lot of nepotism and they have been keeping some of the staff members as temp as long as 6 months

Thats the info I have from 2 valid sources from within WBS

I think we need to be wary of rumours - especially when the source's identity cannot be verified via irc or whatever. I do have one question though, does this relate to the Parvins? I have heard tell of more than one Parvin @ WBS...

Well, if WBS abuses their CUSTOMERS this way, imagine what they would do to their staff.

i heard its crap there, very few people have their job on merit. except a few of the technical staff, and theyre all over worked and unhappy because the rest of the staff are to stupid to do anything due to nepatism and 'buddy buddy' employments.

For the ignorant

Definition of the word nepotism (to save you looking it up like I had to :o ):

nep·o·tism (nĕp'ə-tĭz'əm)

n.

Favoritism shown or patronage granted to relatives, as in business.

[French népotisme, from Italian nepotismo, from nepote, nephew, from Latin nepōs, nepōt-.]

Favoritism granted to relatives or close friends, without regard to their merit. Nepotism usually takes the form of employing relatives or appointing them to high office.

Hey, This exactly describes the organisation I work for :)

why is this a suprise? if people have not figured out how a typical sa company works by now then i pity them. having a temp for 6 months is NOTHING unusual and as for favouritism in the workplace... it's not what you know it's who you know...

welcome to the world of south african business... and who is dising who today mr slimothy?

just got off the phone with one person high in WBS, and one other person. the problem about nepatism has been "identified" and soon a whole of of positions will become "avalable". also, the reason why shauns email is acting up, is he is getting (from some people...not all) 400+ emails a day. to the people doing that.... that lame (20 is mooooooooore than enough) hehe
