Ok those who have given up on downloading from rapidshare in SA, there is still hope!!!

I think its only us SAIX people affected... THe problem i was getting is whereby i would enter the confimation code thing an it would says "Download Invalid" or some crap like that..

So by changing our IP we can download from there!

All you gotta do is download this app - http://www.hotspotshield.com/
run it, connect and voila... We can DL from rapidshare again!! Just downloaded something at 150kb/s!!!

If it doenst work, try disconnecting the application, then connecting it again so it assigns a new IP..

This worked like a charm for me... I cant remember the last time i was able to download something from rapidshare!

Do any of you actually get over 50Kb from rapidshare? Using the free service of course :p

iBurst used to be able to get around 1mbps from single rapidshare threads, but ADSL (4mb) seems capped at max 60Kb?

Well as i said in my post, i was getting 150kb/s + on my SAIX 4mbit using the free service ofc :D
 
Well, I have to be honest, I disconnected and connected with the app 3 times and BS'd me every time, so mxit fan, sorry, but my patience is only so much.

Warning, it contains ads, which is bloody irritating too :mad:

Oh and u should really get that patience problem of urs sorted out :p

And about the ad's, i can put up with the ads if its something i really really want which is the only reason i'd use it anyways..

BS's: Bull****ted! ;) :D :p

I connected, wanted to download from RS, it told me to wait 40 minutes, connected again, it loaded and it said I entered too many wrong numbers, as if, I haven't even entered a number yet, so the last time it wanted me to wait 2 times and I said screw it.

If that stupid thing gave me a Bluescreen I would grate it's bites in pieces across my hdd ;)

LOL!!

I went through the exact same procedure as you... But after one more try it worked for me :D

Its easy enough to just click the button "Disconnect" and "Connect" to assign a new IP a few times so thats what i did and it worked for me :D
 
Glad it works for you man, I just don't have the patience ;) If I really really need something one day I'll use it, so all is not lost :p

I just thought id let you guys know cos it did work for me and nothing else has ever worked for me before on rapidshare..

So i hope it can help u someday, somewhere along the line :)

have to wonder how long it will work though until it gets nerfed..

phew, so im not going looney :)

thats awesome news!!

well i dont see why it would stop working unless they take the app down :confused: hope not anyways :D
