What do you reckon? should be about the same speed as WA unshaped no?
wouldnt mind giving it a try, anything to get that ping down further :PP

Im not in a big rush to try it. I'm currently using axxes (SAIX) unshaped, and I've applied the registry changes to improve latency, so now I usually raid at under 300ms.

I was one of the people who laughed at everybody saying they have consistent sub 300ms and what-do-you-know it is actually possible.
 
im on 384 and with webafrica unshaped saix and my ping is generally in the 250-400 range and if somewhere busy then sometimes hits the 600... just wondering if any1 has managed to get pings lower than the 200 mark and if so on what setup... oh! n my pings are without any registry changes.

Axxess unshaped is nice :) Especially raiding on such a low latt
 
Agree with the guys above I am on Axxess and since the registry mods I have a green latency bar and can get close to 200ms at times.

It might not be for long but I though those days were gone.
 
i don't see point in that product unless you want to be hassled with after hours and work hours shaping. In the end both that "fiber" and unshaped siax/verizon goes through the same sat3 connection...

-no rollovers in that one, i prefer prepaid at least in month you don't use it nothing is lost.
 
seems the openweb adsl over fiber is only good for night time usage...
it still uses the sat-3 but so does saix.. cant imagine it being that much better...
stick to wa unshaped - the ability to change between verizon and saix is awesome
 
I was on a test account last night and have bought a months worth for this month.
The latency is ok , on par with WA on the SAIX backbone. The problem is that there almost seemed to be lag spikes on the IS one. For general play I will probably use the IS account , but for raiding I am going to be staying on the WA account.

With SAIX's issues last night I gave the test account to a guild buddy while I was on WA - Verizon . He also had lag spike issues while mine was relatively stable. His latency was slightly higher than what mine was. But for almost half the price of WA unshaped it may be worth it for some people.
 
Oh no, Well teaches me a lesson. I use WA Unshaped & Cybersmart, and after reading their advert got all excited and **** and bought a gb. And now you telling me that WA is better. Oh well will test it this weekend and let you guys know.

BTW What servers are you on.
 
barfish you dont need good latency to kill players that are busy fighting other people or mobs or doing the relic emanations daily, all rogues just vanish and gtfo as soon as they meet their match anyway. so save some money and get shaped adsl.

ROFL, stopped doing that since i got exalted. but am always looking out for a good latency. btw Neotel is promising a 75ms latency to the states and 300ms to europe (i saw on their site somewhere). Rollout should be starting in march/apil. Cant wait to see how that goes. Lucky for ppl on US servers.

TBH, whats the point 4 the EU players getting Neotel if they'll get 300ms. ..sure with the reg hack it will drop the latt 2 under 200 (with the hack last nite i was sitting at 314ms stable), might just be me, but i dont see the point.

Not actually its cause from here it goes via optial fibre cable straight to the states and gets diverted from there, hence that latency would be lower to the states than to Europe. I read somewhere on Neotels site that their latency to the states is 75ms. I will try find the page again and post it.
