That is not early 2008. These guys are a bit of a joke when it comes to their consumer offerings...

my thoughts exactly.

Question, when prices drop, do you: 1.) spend the savings on bandwidth, or 2.) upgrade your speed, or 3.) keep the money? I'm stuck between 1 or 2.

Teklom bigwig #1 : Not to worry old bean, we will get the SITA contract as usual. So don't worry about that Neothinges.
Teklom bigwig #2 : Good to hear that. I've always wanted a second cottage in Hermanus, for *ahem* my mistress. So I'll just go ahead and pay the deposit on it
Teklom bigwig #1 : I need a new car anyway. Mine's more than 6 months old now.
Teklom bigwig #2 : Will we be able to increase our levies once the ink is dry?
Teklom bigwig #1 : Yup, it'll be business as usual.

Ironic.. the people responsible for telecomunications hell in south africa chose not to do business with Telkom.

I found that funny to, but Telkom is mostly a private corp and should have seen the writing on the wall they just assumed Gov. would stay in bed with them.
 
The SITA contract is very old news. The only thing that is new in this article is that Nevertel has pushed the launch of its consumer services back another 2-3 months. That should be the headline.
 
When will they learn that it cost money to make money, but they only go as far as pocket all money. :eek: :rolleyes:
 
sorry but how is this good for the consumer again? are we suddenly paying less and actually getting a good service?
 
The network was upgraded, great. My only question is, now that something much faster and stable is in place, will this help with the actual people serving you?

Suddenly with a faster more responsive network, the excuse of "network unavailable" and so on vanishes. Will this help these people who are used to slow work, work any faster and better?

Guavamentalists control & own ~60% of Telkodemonopolies [38% + remaining PIC shares], clearly Telkodemonopolies is mostly a parastatal.
