Mobile web ‘will define future’

More talk. They've been saying these things for years but they still keep pushing phones which don't even have 3G. Come on get real. Every phone which costs more than R1500 should be standard with 3G.

Over the past 3 to 5 years, Vodacom and MTN could have made millions if they were smart and pushed their mobile data by getting cellphone users to use their phones as modems. They keep thinking in a linear way, 3G data Card - 24 month contract.

About 3 years ago, I wanted to use my cellphone (gprs) as a modem. As with most phones, it didn't come with a data cable, so I got a Bluetooth dongle. When looking for one, I check at a Vodashop and Vodacom4U store, both stocked it at a price of R595 and R550 respectively. HAHA. What a joke.

maybe if their prices was lower it would be a bigger success ?
