I used to believe that Telkodemonopolies was reviewing its 50% shareholding in Vodacom, and considering selling that stake, and then gobbling up the likes of CellC or visa versa, but I no longer believe that to be true.
IMO Telkodemonopolies realises that Vodacom is potentially its single biggest future fixed line services competitor, and Telkodemonopolies has been throwing all its stalling conjuring tricks into the mix - simply to try and decelerate Vodacom's competitive progress.
Vodacom and others really need to lodge a formal complaint with the Competition Commission - if Telkodemonopolies has not been stalling selling off its 50% of Vodacom, then Telkodemonopolies must certainly be guilty of manipulating its own share price [insider trading] during the so-called Telkodemonopolies&MTN negotiations which Telkodemonopolies summarily terminated and then bought back its own shares after they devalued substantially...
