Multiple Mbps – at a price

Yeh yeh, so many offerings for businesses and nothing for us poor consumers :(
 
I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to pay out my ass to COMBINE connections in order to get speeds on par with international standards. :mad:

you can get the same bonding service just buy your own router.bonder.

I can assure you we do not have any advertorials or paid articles on o0ur news section. This article is different from the previous article about TC’s channel bonding by given a more comprehensive review of the technologies currently available in the market.
 
I'm currently running 2adsl lines at home at full speed... And its not that pricey... Both my 4MB lines cost me R1100. Then my ADSL account is uncapped (free from my work) which allows concurrent connections. So i don't understand why they are saying its so expensive.

You could even use local IS accounts for news servers or mweb, and its going to cost you much less then that
 
But are they bonded... and what solution do you use to bond them?
And why are you paying R1100 for 2x 4Mbps?
 
You get a load balancing router which will set you back about R4000 for a decent one, and not some crappy one, which will do the bonding of all of the lines for you. Or in my situation i run multiple routers, on n Linux server which does all of that then for me.

Paying that amount because work pays the line rental side for me. I'm seriously thinking in the near future to put in another 2 lines, specially now that they are upgrading the uploading speeds on the 4mb lines.
 
I pay 413.00 incl VAT for my 4Mbps line...
I agree with the linux solution... those bonding routers aren't the best solution if you have a spare box... especially since there are monthlies on some of them.

Are you making the PPPoE connection from your Linux box or on the router? How do you make sure that what you route out one line comes back in the same one again, or is there some cool app that I am not aware of that will do that for you?
 
try this software called multiConnect from Asurasoft. i am using it to join my 4 internet connections. the website address is asurasoft.awardspace.com
