Cop: Robber left name on job application

Police say they got a major clue to the identity of a suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store - his job application.

Investigators in Athens, Ga., say Demetrius Robinson filled out the application to kill time while waiting for the Golden Pantry store to empty of customers.

Authorities say it was Robinson who then produced a knife and held up the store last week.

The job application gave Robinson's name and an uncle's phone number.

Police arrested the 28-year-old man Saturday on armed robbery charges.

Seriously now, why are American criminals so dumb?
 
They arn't dumb compared to people here, I'll give real life examples:

1. A guy hijacked a car in traffic. Got arrested later, only moving 15metres

2. A guy goes to the police station to report his cellphone stolen, the police phones the number and a phone rings in his pocket. He is later arrested as he stole the phone.

Correction people are dumb:D.. Seriously though it never stops amazing me how idiotic some criminals are
 
Every country has their stupid people. Then you take their total population and the large it is, the more stories (like this) pop up.
