SABC a 'great concern'

It seems that the SABC has run out of plot lines for its local soapies, and has decided to create one of its own. About half way through this article, it dawned on me that it's not so much a soapie as a particularly farcical sitcom. :D

It would be really funny if wasn't supposed to be serious. Why is it necessary that the pitched battles between factions of the ANC and its alliance partners are fought out in public institutions?

There's little doubt that Snuki Zikalala is completely worthless as a journalist, let alone head of news, but Dali Mpofu had a good track record and real potential before he joined the SABC and got involved in the fight.
 
SABC just another corrupt company going downhill, so the money flows through our pockets. Does sound like a soapy :D
