Yoohoo, MTN, anybody there?

I just want to inform you that the 7.2Mbps firmware upgrade for the Huawei E220 is missing from your software page http://www.mtn.co.za/software/

You still state this version includes support for 7.2 Mbps, but you only have the user guide for the E220 available.

Hi,
Its working ok on those files + using the HMP dash.

Its a vodacom modem that i'm using on MTN.
It had VMC Lite 9.3.0.8940 on it origanally.
I updated that to 9.3.0.9237.B407 connecting using my MTN fastlink dash, that ran ok but that was buggy disconnecting.

Changed now to the Huawai E270 files + HMP dash and its running ok, connecting/disconnecting fine.
It may be off a little on speed, but maybe just how the network is also.
just now - Richards bay to Joberg server
down - 1969 kb/s
up - 971 kb/s

The download of the Hauwei E270 files has extension .B407,same as the latest one from vodacom's "flash upgrade file" for the E272 so i THINK its the same.
Ends up being firmware version 11.304.08.00.00
the 7th March file here

hhmmm the drivers shud be up before the product is launched.. MTN seems very slow when it comes to providing the software drivers for the devices...??

The drivers will be up soon, they needed to be ammended :-)
A note on your website to that effect would have been great.

How's the amending coming along, do you have an ETA for us?

I have downloaded the drivers from Huawei`s website...and its quite stable...
What you downloaded from Huawei was dashboard software.

The download MTN used to host was an updated firmware which enabled 7.2Mbps.

Where is all the software and firmware on MTN's website ??? All the devices claim to be 7.2 Mbps enabled yet "that" firmware on the devices is non-existent ???

Its been nearly a year now ???
