The million dollar question is...What's the point of a hd capture to youtube?
The new Sony ones will knock this ones socks right off.
Still dont really see the point, cause if you have to plug it into a PC then you might as well do it through the PC since these things can be accessed like hard drives now.
I would have thought a better design would be with a wifi connection. Then you get an actual benefit. Out in the himileas, herding alpacas and taking in the memories on the cam. Go to your local himilayen internet cafe hotspot and simply upload to youtube and email friends the link directly from the cam. No PC or additional software required.
Think I am going to go run off and design some gimicks for cam corders.
Oh ohoh... and something else I always wanted was GPS timeslip meta data recording. Tag your vid with time based GPS coords. Then you can do things like map overlays. I ordered a Sony HDR-SR11E high definition camcorder in March 2008 and I am still waiting - that means I've been waiting for my cam for 5 months already. Sony's service is pathetic.

You should buy cameras(digital and video) at www.orms.co.za. It's in Cape Town and they have a nice variety of equipment.

That sucks. Can you not rather cancel that order and get something else? It's ricidulous to wait that long and I'm sure they can't tell you otherwise since you waited so long.
