Hi Guys..

I'm not sure if I'm reading the web site correctly. But I signed up for the 4 gig adsl account through sainet aprox 2 weeks ago. R189 per month, for 4 gigs. When I looked tonight, some aspects of their web site was redesigned, and I noticed the price for the 4 gig ADSL shaped account is now R236. Thats almost a R50 increase. You guys think this is correct?

I'm pretty sure that in today's very competitive market, suppliers are trying to lower the cost of bandwidth, not raise it...

If this is the case, I'll be cancelling my contract tomorrow...Thats' not very nice!

This is not cool, i'll also cancel my account if they increase the prices

I hope not, since we've enjoyed using them for the past year. Still, considering that their rates are amongst the lowest in the country, an increase might be justified. As long as they keep the increase below 15% (IMO), it will be acceptable.

I just got confirmation from the sales lady at Sainet. The prices did go up. It will however only affect me in 3 months from now, but still... It's a pity though, seeing that once the undersea cables are available here in south africa, which is not very far away, the price of bandwidth will be significantly less (or so I hear). So why, while all other ISP's are competing for prices, are sainet raising theirs?

anyways...not very nice indeed...

Sainet are a bunch of thieves. They have been charging me for 2 accounts running simultaneously for the past 4 months. This means that I have been paying double but the data is subtracted from both accounts at the same time. I have emailed and opened support tickets, but they do not respond.

I have thus cancelled my ACCOUNTS.

Sainet representative response:

Sainet changed product and price structures. The prices refer to Data Carry Over products.

Existing Subscribers wil be given the option to migrate - we will not increase current subscriber ADSL access service prices without reason. We also expect prices to come down with all the landscape changes, hence the steps in that direction to allow Data Carry Over.

BTW - Our data carry over prices compare favourably with other ISP prices - with the added feature of Data Carry Over (see http://www.sainet.co.za).

Regards
Sainet Admin

If we made a mistake, we will correct. We are a company who trade with integrity and are very sensitive in dealing with subscriber funds.

Yeah well they stole my bandwidth and never even asked if they could make it up... :/
There usage webpage is wrong and then i get capped with still a few hundred Megs to spare, I wonder how long this has been going on.....time to move ISP's

yeah, i agree, the usage page is absolutely useless. It has no relation to anything. Well, in any case, looks like am am going to be forced to leave as well with these latest price increases. Is Openweb decent?

What price increases? Can't you read? They still honor the old prices...
