On topic, I think this sounds like a good idea. Seeing that other countries have similar infrastructure, it will work pretty well...
 
What purpose do licenses serve other than to protect monopolies and prevent citizens from participating in our economy in any meaningfull way?

It is a tool of repression and that is it.

Can someone ask this guy what the cost of connecting a 200 house gated village in cape town would be, and when can he deliver this service.

In 10 years time i wont need a faking fiber optic.. they will pipe a 10 Mbps directly to my thoughts..
