Telkom showing it's hand

Mweb... funny, I've never liked them, will never use them, and here i'm trying to get away from Telkom... I've always regarded MWeb as an ISP for ignorant people, Clearly Telkom wants to keep spinning its web at the stupid people...

Something that Im a bit confused about is:

Mweb belong to Multichoice (If Im not mistaken) and Mutlichoice is direct competition for Telkom with the new IPTV/Broadcasting licenses? Anyone think that this might have something to do with that?

Mutlichoice (Monopoly) and Telkom (Monopoly) working together to screw us over even more in 2 sectors?

I agree about Mweb... They are overpriced and crap, the only reason why they are still around is because they have money to advertise... So ignorant people think, thanks to there advertising campaigns, they are the best option...

The Big Black Box... It all started with that crap... Jamming an elephant into a box? And downloading it with a 56k modem... Yea whateva ;)

I think Telkom is looking at it as if they're buying Mweb from Naspers. I hope the competition guys look into this.

My thoughts exactly!!

Interesting, in the other thread regarding exactly the same thing, indications are that it's not local Mweb, but Mweb Namibia etc Telskommels want to buy...

Either way it'll be interesting.

they cant even sort things out in their home country but they wanna moer up in africa. maybe it takes up all their attention so it gives space for someone else.but we can only hope

During a recent media interview, Telkom CEO Mr September announced that the company is looking at opportunities within South Africa as well so the domestic market should not be taken for granted.

Oh thank you for not taking the domestic market for granted. </sarcasm>
