“IntelliPen” to digitalise note taking

I saw one of these at Esquire on saturday. Not sure if it would be able to decipher my handwriting though :D

EDIT: The one at esquire scans your writing and then digitises it.
 
Do I understand this correctly. The pen digitises the handwriting into text (i.e I can then manipulate the text with word? Or will it be an image?
 
Ooh cool. Tho I use my phone for taking notes lately, it also converts hand-writting into standard, editable text

You'd be correct there.

You write like normal on a piece of paper, and the device saves your written words which you can the upload as text in a word document.

Still interested to see just how well it will work

Okay, cool, but ... the best way to record spoken stuff is with audio.

Where are the advances in speech recognition? Hurry up dammit!
 
Hmm yeah I'm with you stoke. Voice recognition would be the ultimate.
But then I suppose some would still need to sit and delete the uhm's and ah's and the occasional inappropriate joke :p

The intellipen is quite cool - I've been playing around with them, and they seem to work quite well! Even with my bad handwriting! hahahahaha

I guess they are worth the cash if you do quite a bit writing!

But yeah, looks pretty cool actually :D

For now I'll stick to my pen and paper though. At least they're cheap!
