Yes now not only are we going pay extra 10c for data but 60c per sms all day NO MORE DROP DOWN RATE!for sms

Bad move by Virgin to raise prices on data while the other providers are dropping prices.

One of the things that used to kill my bills were the SMS messages. Guess you are paying for all the free SMSs that new subscribers get? Bad move increasing the data charges. Aren't the new Telkom 3G prices 30c outside of the bundle or something like that?

+1 if they happen to upgrade to HSDPA / LTE LMAO yeah maybe i and many other virgin mobile users wud be happy to pay 60c more!

I also remember something along similar lines. Although there was a terms and conditions apply banner as well.

Virgin started off well, but it's all gone to pot. The GPRS service in my area never works anyway (way more downtime than uptime), so it doesn't really matter what they charge. They send me an advert for the Ulimited SMS deal with every bill, which clearly states that it's now available "on any Virgin Mobile postpay plan", but the Virgin store tells me I don't qualify for the deal. WTF! I can't wait for my contract to expire.

yeah tell me about it. since virgin had their grand "system upgrade" I have been forced to roam on Vodacom to get GPRS, I can use Virgin but it connects and then times out after I have downloaded about 50kb. wish I could use virgin though because it has edge speeds. and lets not talk about the service from the customer care people, my gosh I sometimes wonder if they even have their matric!!!!

MTN call per second is kinda expensive! You need to switch to MTN ZoNe! That is super cheap per second billing. 5-6 hours a day I have a discount more than 50% with vodacom you !!!!NEVER!!!! get a discount more than 5-10% during peak time!
