Telkom deal ‘boosts COPE war chest’

“We believe that some of the proceeds of this hurried fire sale are finding their way into the war chest of the Shikota gang of three,” Nzimande told reporters.

Who would like to wager that this would not be an issue if these proceeds were going into the war chest of the ANC. Got to love the double standards.

.....Lyndall Mafole-Shope, now a leading member of the African National Congress (ANC) breakaway group, Congress of the People (COPE), ......

A very good reason not to support COPE either..........

Grab a seat, put your feet up, crack open a beer, and enjoy. Better than any afternoon soapy.

What shareholders do with their money should be of no concern to SACP really. It should not matter whether they buy a super car or give the money to political parties, it's their money.

I'm loving this soapie.

Poor ANC with their double standards.

Go Zuma !!! Shower to the people !!! OOPS, Did i say "shower"? My bad, I meant "power". Slip of the tongue.

HAHAHAHAHAHHA

Why oh why do they open their mouths... then again, I don't particularly want to think of them as credible.

Er... what the hell does the SACP believe they should be involved in the affairs of private companies. Despite what they hope and believe this is still a largely capitalist country!

So it's only a problem when the ANC is not involved? Makes sense.

Aye only when the gravy train does not stop at the ANC station is it a problem :)

And I agree the sharehold are free to spend money on what they wish.

Quite funny how a good thing for this country has been done cause of someone's quick grab for money.

Boo for the ones who did it... but u gotta say woohoo for us who will benefit :)

But who are the shareholders little insect's are they:cool:

Not sure if it is a good or a bad thing that the SACP uses its blunt blade to make [stoopid] comments in public - IMO the SACP should sell off the blunt blade's family jewels if anyone is willing to buy them, surely the SACP can use its influence to come up with some actual proof that Ngonyama personally & financially benefited from Telkodemonopolies shares...?

Jeez, what a moron.
Typical though of the double standards in this country.
It's fine if the profits went into the "warchest" of the ANC, but not another party, especially if/when that's a break-away party.

Mafole-Shope went over to COPE? And I was so hoping it would be a vaguely decent party.
