Xbox games at R1 000

I couldn't believe my eyes but this is true,
Here in Europe one Xbox game was around 80 euros.

I would never pay R1000 for a game that is pure madness ;)
I rather put that money towards my stomach :)

Well I'm just thinking there may be those that will show their disgust in the form of such a "protest" by going back to PC and leaving their consoles in the attic till it's time for it's resurrection :p

I preferred cracked games on PC then on my Xbox.
Never wanted issues with the console or XBL - that's just me though.
But I've been out of the Xbox scene for a long while now.
 
I won't pirate, but I would definetly order from overseas, the local suppliers can forget about my support.
 
I guess the xbox media centres will take off now, seeing as you won't be able to afford games you might as well convert your 360 into a media centre...

R1000 a game is ludicrous, economic crisis anyone?

Anyway, I almost got my self a 360 at about R1800 but I won't be able to afford the games, nice going Microsoft, I love my PC!

I will be upgrading my pc early next year, and I will be playing AAA games and paying no more than R500... I love Steam! So easy and you bypass all the bureaucratic BullTrud the local industry imposes...

Consoles 0 - PC 1 :D

As far as I know the R1000 price will only apply to Microsoft published games , like Gears of War etc , the other titles imported by Megarom etc will see a slight increase in the margin of R30-R50 per game . But that means about R750 - R800 for most games and that is just madness as well . Guess my Xbox game collection will remain as it is for some time to come
 
piracy sucks. Shopto and others FTW. Let's say - PS3 Little Big Plant @ Look Listen when it launched R 999. Buy it overseas R580 (incl shipping + duties).

Guitar Hero World Tour (box-set with 2 guitars, drumkit, mic) - local R 3,200 - overseas R 2500 (incl shipping/duties).

To pay in excess of R 700 for a game is a rip-off.
