I think the 20/20 games would be 2-0 to SA and ODI's we will win 4-1

Hayden dropped. Many aussies thinks this might mean he won't make the SA tour.

Twenty20 squad Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Hussey, David Hussey, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, Nathan Bracken, Brad Haddin (wk), Shaun Marsh, Shaun Tait, David Warner, Ryan Harris, Cameron White, Nathan Hauritz.

Our ODI setup is not as strong as the test one. The rotation of players seem to be too frequent so there is a bit less stability. Hope I'm wrong but I think the Aussies might take it.

MTN one day log final points:
Eagles 34
Titans 29
Cobras 26
Dolphins 21
Warriors 11
Lions 9

Make up of SA one day squad by province:
Warriors 6 (incl capt)
Titans 4
Cobras 2
Lions 2
Dolphins 1
Eagles 0

Something doesn't add up.

That doesnt mean much especially that the national players miss most of the tournament

If all provincial teams had all their players available the top 2 would undoubtedly be the Titans & Cobras

No, you're missing my point. Six new players have joined the overseas players as part of the one day squad. Of those six, five (including the captain) are from the bottom two teams in the MTN championship (they played in the current MTN championship). Why no-one from the top side?

I think the ODIs and Twenty20s will be closer than the Test series. SA have lost Smith and fielding plenty of new blood although I'm very interested to see how Martin Van Jaarsveld plays...definitely a player for the future (I think he averages ~70 in the MTN ODI domestic championship)

They just individual stars in bad teams ;)

I get your point and it does seem a little odd but i dont see anything wrong with the selection, the Eagles for example have a really solid team but no major standouts or players i feel are unlucky not to get higher honours yet, they have good young players who might get there in the next few years and McLaren went the Kolpak route

You are confusing players here. Vaughn is in the current squad martin played for SA a few years ago but never made it.

I don't think it's a case of he didn't make it, he didn't get as many chances to "prove" himself as some of the others. Then he wisely gave up and went to the UK as a Kolpak player.
