Hi all. Anyone else having major issues with certain international domains and sites on IS? I am on the IS semi-shaped account and only certain international sites are available (for example wikipedia.org is not working for me) and the others just keep losing the connection (connection has been reset errors). Local sites seem to be working fine though. So I am guessing that IS is having problems with some specific international network segment, which only affects certain sites hosted in certain locations?

Anyone have any info on this perhaps? Is IS aware of this or is it just "business as usual" with all the masses coming back from holidays and clogging up the international bandwidth? This is very irritating, since its google and wikipedia that isn't loading...

I can connect to any site except anything google related. Not impressed at all.

Same problem with Google here on IS "DSL over Fibre"

OK, I phoned support at my ISP and they state that they can see there is a problem, but (as usual) IS has not notified them of anything. They did mention that they are going to submit a ticket to IS though, so hopefully there is some action asap...

Yes, IS is having problems.

Wonder which technician decided that his New Year's resolution is going to be to kill the network.

also IS semi shaped fiber account --- having problems.. cant sign in to MSN messenger firstly, secondly, cant access google, thirdly, cant access wikipedia, cant seem too access microsoft's website either... sigh....

I have one of those uncapped thresholded accounts (uncapped express), same problems as psychosis... lets hope they can get it fixed soon....

Axxess Semi-Shaped, Hardly any International sites working and local slow as hell  wtf?

Yeah, the stability doesn't seem to be increasing...I guess I'll wait till this afternoon lunch time or so and then start phoning a few contacts to hopefully get an update on this. Surely someone at IS or SAIX must now know that something is wrong. If I find out anything on the matter, and more importantly, get a time-frame on a fix, I'll let you guys know. Other than that, all we can do is wait...and hope.

is youtube working fine for u guys?? it loads up on my side, but... not the full site

I'm going to assume that my 'other' account I'm using is IS because I'm having problems with that account.

Oh well... patience is a virtue! :D

Seems to be back to normal again.

Got reply from my ISP. Very nice service from them in this regard I must say (Imaginet technician named Jesse I think - thanks :)). He mentioned to me that IS has let them know that they have resolved the issue. IS hasn't actually specified what the issue was to them though, but it might have been a relay server, which will probably get a bit swarmed now by all the requests, so its still a bit slow. At least its working now though and we know that IS is attending to it.
