'Google phone' builds momentum

I can't wait for us to start getting the android phones in SA.

Hopefully some of them will be here in 3 months when I can upgrade

I've got the original KS360, it is snappy and fast. Should LG be releasing their KS360 with Android on, a comparison regarding OS responsiveness can be made easily. :)

Holding thumbs that Android will also be snappy and fast, not slow and sluggish. :)

It makes sense using Android as most of the stuff is available to you, instead of using a proprietary OS like WinCE or Symbian.

Reading up on the specs of Android reveals that Android is designed for mobile devices from the ground up.

Was symbian not made open source as well a while ago? Or at least a version of it

Android have also been around for a while now, it's only on phones that it's only coming out and making waves now.

I think I downloaded the android dev kit something like 2 years ago for the first time
