I just visited the Vefa site www.vefa.co.za and looks like this dude has closed
down ,I know Mweb sued him for lots of bucks and won the case , has anyone got any news about the Vefa Dog fella ??? -just curiuos :D

Actually its up and running again...

and it now has a layout in its forum that is EXACTLY the same as MyBB....

*waddles off to inform rpm*

hahahaha this guy is 1 weired dude.Hope he gets busted

Can someone fill me in on this VEFA thing ... sounds interesting, and funny.

It doesn't matter that much but it is identical, as in not just a vb forum but all the sub forums are the same. Which makes no sense for his website, there's isn't anything about Vefa on it at all.

He's just made one ridiculous post in Off Topic about Cope.

This guy is pretty funny, what did MWeb sue him for?

That's the site with those legendary computer deals people on MyBB were raving about. I'm going to ask my employer to use them next time they need to replace the 100 odd Dell boxes in their organisation. Anyone remember that thread?

I figured their business model had changed from conning pc users to marketing local prostitutes - after all, that was 90% of their forum membership...

Yeah the entire mybb layout has been copied - down to every single sub-forum. I somehow doubt that their prostitute and peanut membership are likely to provide valuable insight into the inner workings of today's IT sector.

Fsck that guy is a joke! Can't remember his name though, but it looks like he has now adopted the forum name John Black...:D

Oh my God, is that guy back again??? Hmm, that Vefa Dog is the biggest CROOK under the sun! He conned me big time. Im glad mweb got some cash out of him, bloody bubble eye woestyn padda freak.

Were they overcharging then? They have Adobe logos, maybe Adobe dealer they are?

What I remember most clearly I think is that people would take in PCs and they would swap out customers' hardware for inferior hardware. Also, sell second-hand hardware as new.

Niccia should be able to shed some light since she had the misfortune of dealing with them.
