What has happened to Vefa

Are you being sarcastic or do you really not know about the way they work? It's the biggest joke of PC store. The owner offered to take someone out to dinner about it on the forums last time. Then he started spamming terribly obvious 1 post accounts saying how great Vefa is. Too bad he can hardly speak english.

They'd sell you just about any part if they thought they could get away with it, and stocked the weirdest asian brands. I got a 9600CT there.. came factory "overclocked" by a whole 50mhz which wouldn't get you far past booting unless you underclocked it back. :(

Perhaps they have. Will take more convincing than just one pro-Vefa post on their own forum though.

I'd almost bet that John_Black is the owner/an employee/friend. :D

LOL on VEFA. I was wondering when things would catch up. I use to work for his competition, Springbok Information Systems, and I would hear countless complaints from his customers and his staff.

Its one of those places that inspires Stephen King to write horror books about.
 
Pity I haven't been through that area in Wynberg lately, I know exactly where the shop is. Frankly they always looked dodgy to me when I went past there, not the kind of shop I'd want to walk into.

As for what happened here, the owner or someone pretending to be him, went crazy here for a while, inviting clients to dinner and so on, all while ripping clients off and doing crazy things. That whole thread really made me laugh a lot, it was hilarious.

Edit: Why the bloody hell has he copied the exact same layout as the MyBB forum? What purpose does it serve for the company? He should be sued, it's not right for him to carbon copy things like that.

LOL, even the forum subtitles are the same as MyBB. Also, I see they don't have the same profanity filter as MyBB :D

I still remember when the airtime transfer scams reigned free on the mobile site Prodigits. If only I was evil enough to do it, could have been rolling in a life time supply of airtime.

I registered, but unfortunately my confirmation email never arrived.... besides the lobotomy bit, I get deja vu when visiting them after MyBB.
