Hmmm the 22" you should be able to get maybe R1500/1600 for...

The graphics card, I'm not so sure...

The rest prob R5500... I think.. but i do stand to be corrected, that price might be a bit high

Ok.. so my prices were a LITTLE bit high :)

Where abouts are you, that'll also determine the price you can get

I think selling that 22" for 1.6k is not going to happen, the 23" samsung goes for 2k most places so you need to make people want to buy and your and 400 bucks difference is not going to :)

1.3k i would say

Yeah... But folks have been able to sell their 2232GWs here for R1800 - R2000! Quite amazing.

Guys im in Randburg, Blairgowrie . . .
Is R800 all im going to get for the mobo? Cuz new their like R1800

You could push for more... But the Asus P45 boards will only be about R300 more for brand new.

Don't ask how much you will get for your pc on MyBB most of these guys can get the stuff at cost price. Add 10-15% to the pricess ToxicBunny gave you. Most of the time you will find someone who can't buy at cost who will give you what you want.

I'm actually basing my prices on what I think I can get at PCZone

yeah, i'm with oober on this one... if you word the sale right then you could possibly get R6k-R7k for the system... there's many a people that would fork out that cash...

Just say that it's a duel core beast, with a monster graphics card. Can play all games on highest graphics. Reason for selling it that you need to fund your DJ'ing career.

Then pc zone must be very cheap. I did a quick search for the,
HIS Digital HD 4870 512mb graphics card ( 3 months old).

That card sells for R4000 http://www.jump.co.za/product/his-radeon-hd-4870-512mb-256-bit-gddr5-graphics-card-13807149.htm
and you want him to ask R2500? It's only three months old... He should easily be able to get R3k or a bit more for it.

Some of the other components are also under priced.

1.3k for the monitor? I'll take it if you're selling for that.... In my experience it's rare to see 2232 go for less than 17-1800. 1500 is too low.

If you could reserve that mobo up until 16th March then I'll take it for R1000.

First of all, unfortunately most PC components drop in value by 40 - 50% when they are second-hand, let alone only a few months old.

Secondly, one can get a new HD4870 for R3200. Even the Asus version (a very good brand with good warranty and service) for R3400 - http://www.prophecy.co.za/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=4870&page=1&sort=3a. He would be lucky to get R2500! Plus, ATI's new range of cards are almost here.

Yes but you are missing the point. There are lots of people who can't get those prices or don't know better. They are either too lazy or uninformed, so to them R3000 for that card will look like a bargain.
That is the whole problem with asking a tech forum for prices. We are all informed...

sell those things for an inflated price because that way you can still barter with the people :p ha ha... you would be a fool to sell something at it's actual worth because you gonna end up selling it for less...
