Disconnection problems

Hi all,

Currently after the patch I'm struggling with lag and disconnection problems. Everything used to be fine before the patch and I was running @ 60-80 fps (good pc with HD4850 1gb in)

Now things seem fine @ 1st, latency sitting around 300, but then I go into say OS25 and as soon as we start fighting mobs I start getting insane lag and some times get disconnected also. Cant be the pc, it was fine the day before the patch. It must be addons or something else.

So I have a good pc
atm I'm on 384 Semi-Shaped acct, using Gamemax.org
Got quite allot of addons like

Bartender
Xperl
Recount
Quartz
DMB
MSBT
Omen
Prat
etc.

All up 2 date. Hope someone can help me out here with some advice.

there has been numerous issues with xperl, even the update to issue still has many problems with it. it could also be an issue with dbm, i haven't been receiving disconnects thou, but fps rates are even worse than before
 
Easy next raid disable all your addons if problem presist try it next time whit out gamemax.org well then there you go Cant tell you gamemax is the problem cos then I get told to undo registry hacks I have and will never use p.s I had the same problem
 
And no I dont have any thing against gamemax used it in beta and when it went live it uped my DPS and downed my MS by loads but started getin major lag soon after kimberly and other server was started Hearing nice kill on vent and boss still has 5% hp
 
On your screen is not fun and the DC's all the time almost costed me my raid spot stoped usein Gamemax and lag stoped
 
U know I tend to think it can be gamemax aswell. Don't get me wrong, I've luv'd it so far, but I have a friend who use the same addons as me, just not gamemax and he is doing fine.

I had to ask to be replaced in OS+2D & Uldar so far and its really annoying me!
 
Interesting what did you change cos I'd love to play on gamemax again if the problem is some thing els. IF you and I have the same problem
 
had disconnect issues aswell since patch and especially after each rolling restart - with all addon's enabled / disabled no difference. PLay for 15 ~ 20 min then the game client freezes then disconnect's. Continuous the whole day yesterday gave up after 2 hours.
 
I've changed my mind again and I think its something with gamemax

Basically I was in naxx 25 for about 2 hours (semi-fail pug with alt) and I was using gamemax during that time. All of a sudden (time was around 17:00) everytime we started 4 horseman I would lag and get disconnected and we then wipe.
I then stopped gamemax and connected normally and continued on without gamemax & with some SA lag, but at least I did not get disconnected again on them.
After 4 Horseman I enabled it again, but the disconnects continued, so I stopped using gamemax again.

At the 2nd last boss (Sapp) I went out and enabled gamemax again and things where fine from there on. It was even fine later the night in VOA25 & Uldar on my main.

So I ask you WTF? This seem to happed ofter. For an hour or 2 (or more?) period one would keep lagging and keep getting disconnected while using gamemax

And the thing is, its not just a personal problem. Allot of people seem to have it.
Fact that I'm fine during that period as long as I don't use Gamemax tells me it must be something with them...
 
Gamemax struggles under certain conditions (something I don't get with PingFU).

Essentially it seems that the Gamemax server closes the connection if there is a large delay in the client responding (this happens when there is a large amount of data being downloaded).

I used to get this with KT in Naxx until I upgraded by connection to 1mbps. I still get it during the Wintergrasp AoE-zerg and elect to go to the southern towers instead. If I want to join in the AoE-zerg then I run Wow without Gamemax, albeit at a reduced ping.

What kills me though is if I get a dc during ranked arena matches. I might make the switch to Ping4U if I get the time to test it again.
 
i have major laggs since friday. my char takes like 30secs to respond and sometimes it wont respond at all. i have a mtn e270 fastlink modem. the connection is good, the light shows it runs on hsdpa, but stil the major lagg...
 
I decided to give Gamemax a try and it appears that the issue is related to large amounts of AoE happening.
The connection is really stable until we hit large amount of AoE and then I just can't stay online.
I'm going to cancel with thing because as MT I can't afford to DC mid fight because of something stupid.
Apparently it's related to how the bandwidth is shared amongst users.
 
That's retarted, to be also seems like AOE, but just in certain places/fights or maybe I can say certain times of the day.

Gamemax must certainly sort their **** out, or they will loose most of their clients. People in raiding guilds just cant afford to disconnect mid fight!

And I'm still waiting for an answer from them of this...
 
I am canceling my GameMax 2day. This is bull****. Last night I kept disconnecting in Ulduar over and over untill I closed GameMax and connected normally and played with the normal SA lag.

It annoyed myself and my guild 2 much already, so I am done with it. They can contact me again and offer me a month trial if they ever fix this stupid problems.
 
I had exactly the same problem last night in Ulduar. Was fine when nothing was happening, got about 230ms. Then as soon as there was a pull my ping either jumped to 2k+ or I would DC. In the end I just ran WoW without gamemax and I didn't have the issue again the whole night.

One thing that confuses me though, this is the first time since Ulduar came out that I've been having the problem, rest of the time it's been 100% :/

If anyone has gotten a response from gamemax about this issue please let us know here :)

PS: Tried connecting via denise.gamemax.org and pamela.gamemax.org. With pamela I couldn't even log in, just got an instant DC. On denise I would DC on boss fights and most trash pulls :(

Possibly related, but disable Questhelper when raiding or in Dalaran. I kept getting discod when flying into Dalaran till i disabled QH. Something about that addon kills you dead if you're in a laggy zone/area.
 
Not using gamermax, but last night when ever I changed my talents via Dual Spec, I would get dc'd, I'd then have to reset my router to fix the problem
