Only two SABC board members turn up

If the latter, then the board can still function because it will be quorate, and will have a deputy chairperson in Christine Qunta, one of the three who quit but said in a newspaper article on Thursday morning that she believed she is still a member.
That makes no sense.

That makes no sense.

The issue is, when they quit do they still have to serve their three months notice period? She means she has given in her resignation but is still obliged to serve for the period until her resignation takes effect according to her contract.

Wish we had a sabc 1-10 lets say chan 8 is sport? 9-Wild life, cooking, life style shows,7local crapy soaps,6the best of the new serries in soaps,5-other serries,4-muvies,3-cartoons and kids stuff,2-news and things like that,1-music channel.
11-15 can be a afrikaans, english, xhosa and so on chans? Adds can be 5-10sec long and they pop up in the black part of the wide screen.

what did I miss out on? Oh ja btw, cheaper tv adds means more people will buy adds space and if they are only in the black part, win!

or maybe simply resigned. the same way when u have resigned "effective immediately" you leave the building and simply not rock up for any scheduled meetings?

Alison Gilwald and Nadia Bulbulia, the two who pitched, were clearly reluctant to answer a number of the questions posed to them by the committee, saying that they were invited at short notice, and did not have time to prepare

ROTFLMAO, ok, so what they are REALLY saying is they only pitched up so that they can claim their 'directors fee' for attending the meeting. Actually doing something is a whole different story.

Useless, bloody useless!

That says it all about the SABC.

Fire the whole lot, let them lose their bonuses and other golden handshake stuff, and assign new people to head the SABC.

With proper financial controls and auditing in place.

Not surprising, they don't want to face the consequences of their actions.

That makes no sense.

Makes perfect cents, in fact it makes Rands too. They can quit the responsibilities, and not have to account for their actions to the committee, but since they think they're still employed, they think they can still draw a salary like that criminal Jackie Selebi to perpetuity. It's like it is the perfect job, only with those ungrateful demanding ingrates we call TV licence holders, aka taxpayers.

Oh, now that the money has run out, who will be the first to blame apartheid? and how long will it take?

To think that the ANC is thinking of a national health insurance. Imagine what a giant cock-up that's going to be. (SABC + SAA) * 100^10

They say they didn't have enough time to prepare because they were given such short notice??!!? The fekking public new about this meeting about a full week before it was to occur!

And one doesn't just not pitch up, one sends apologies BEFOREHAND!

YOU FEKKING ****S!

add to that the Road Accident Fund that is raped on a continual basis.
Escom had a surplus before the ANC put its cronies in.What did they do with the money that they should have been spending on infrastructure for 10 years. We could carry in forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you seen how many Ferraris and Lambos are in Jhb? Do you know how much they cost?
